PCAN is a tool used to identify and annotate point centromeres across Saccharomycetaceae (Saccharomyces, Nakaseomyces, Kluyveromyces, Torulaspora, Lachancea, …). It is designed in Python to work on genome assemblies at any level of completeness (contig, scaffold, chromosome, or complete).
